Charlie Louvin
July 7, 1927 - January 26, 2011

After a long fight with cancer Mr. Louvin, the other half of the world famous
Louvin Brothers, has passed away. Charlie and Ira Louvin were the ones
responsible for the tightest two-part harmonies the world has ever known.
The Everly Brothers would emulate that sound, which in turn would
influence The Beatles, with John and Paul often sharing the lead vocals.
Charlie and Ira once dominated the Country Charts and in 1955 scored
their number 1 hit song " I DON'T BELIEVE YOU'VE MET MY BABY "
Ira preceeded Charlie in death in 1965 when he was killed in an auto
accident. Stunned from losing his best friend and irreplaceable Duo
partner, somehow Charlie Louvin managed to do the right thing and
take the music out to the fans for the rest of his life. Charlie had
just released a new CD in November on True North Records
and the CD is called " THE BATTLES RAGE ON ". You can find
out more about this CD and all of Charlie's music at the main
website www.charlielouvin.net
We were so touched by this story and the loss of such a nice man and a great artist
that we wanted to show you a video that Charlie produced, a tribute to his brother
Ira Louvin. The love he felt for his brother, after so many years pours from every
note of his beautiful soleful baritone voice. Please see the video HERE

Ted Hall was my friend for many years. A kind and gentle soul, the most intelligent human I believe I will
ever meet.Ted was also a singer and songwriter whose
works I admired. Please take a moment out and see
this video of Theodore " Ted " Hall singing one of
his own songs along with another wonderful artist
and friend, Merry-Ken Piper in this You Tube video.

Folks....I have got to tell you
that I recently watched a You Tube video performance of non other than " The Killer "
Jerry Lee Lewis on an old SHINDIG episode, laying down a healthy dose of WHOLE
LOTTA SHAKIN' GOIN' ON and I was really pretty impressed until this young sharp
dressed guitar man named JERRY COLE comes running up the backside of the white
grand piano with what I swear were actual flames coming off his fingers, totally electrifying
and seizing the attention of the moment and claiming a giant slice of rock history and
guitar showmanship! There will never be another Jerry Cole so I suggest you do some
research, go and buy some Jerry Cole music and perhaps pass it down a generation
or two as a gift to a budding young guitarist. Rock and Roll lives forever.
So will the legacy and the legend of JERRY COLE

And it really goes without saying that John Lennon
was such a profound influence on music, art and culture
while he was alive. But to note that his contributions
to humanity continue to grow to this day and that
musicians worldwide are now able to study his
music in universities across the globe. His songs
and identifiable voice are played on thousands of
radio stations daily.
IMAGINE that.
