George Boettcher

" LOVIN THE MUD "

                             Nashville super songwriter
George Brunner Boettcher .....and friends!

Getting down dirty with George!

George Boettcher is a different kinda cat, and I mean that in a good way. Here’s a man who can write great tunes, sing, produce and play several instruments very well! We first presented a review about George a little over one year ago here in the DGT after discovering the talents of a number of closely associated writers including the incomparable Janet Goodman and Bill Maier of Nashville. OK, so I love Bill’s last name but I swear that had nothing to do with why I decided to write the articles! Anyway, thank my lucky stars that I found George Brunner Boettcher - as he has always been a gentleman and a humble appreciative soul in communicating with us and of course we think his music rocks!

I have been following the works and progress of George Brunner Boettcher this past year in great anticipation because my thoughts are that this guy is going to be a huge success in Nashville and a future legend of Country music, that soon it will be near impossible for him to find time for an interview.

Not too far from my projected marks, George has been real busy this year writing, performing and producing some great new cutting edge Country like his very dirty “LOVIN THE MUD“ which rocks, kicks butt and gets into the groove making you want to head for the dance floor with a good looking little someone to tear it up with you! This song could be the new sub-American anthem with it’s references to four wheel drives, dirt flying everywhere, jeans, boots and good ol’ boys just having some fun. I realize there’s people out in the world who can’t relate, don’t get it why we true westerners can find relaxation in guzzling a few extra gallons of gas, letting our hair down and “ hooping it up “ by roaring through some muddy canyon with three hundred ponies under the hood of a full-sized pickup truck. Laughter and thrills down home USA styled, that’s what it’s all about and George brings it all the way home with “ LOVIN THE MUD “.

Then just when I think I’ve got old George figured out you know, really know where his head is at as a songwriter he turns around one hundred eighty degrees and throws me a big-leagued curve ball with RIVER OF REDEMPTION, a new Gospel song with traditional instrumentation. It’s an uplifting and catchy song that evokes memories for many people of faith who have actually been through the unforgettable ceremony.…”.turn to the river, let faith lead your heart “. This song could even make nonbelievers want to jump up and dance all the way to the pulpit, confessing their regrets! George has been playing and collaborating with yet another quickly rising star, a young man by the name of Jason Thomas.( Jason seen on the left )
Jason has recently recorded a new version of Boettcher’s song “ RADIO “, which was originally covered by Bill Maier . I can’t say which of these two great  versions I like the best but I can say that I wish I were the manager of all three of these talented men because they are going to be around making hit records for decades. We look forward to an interview with Jason Thomas in the near future. Right now  for my money I have to say that our good friend George has got it going on. And that's the low down dirty !
