It's All About The Music

Band of the Month

Ralston

Ever wonder what happened to country music being made by working-class
folks for working-class folks? From the heartland of the U.S. comes
Ralston, two brothers that named their band after the street that they
live on. Ralston puts its own stamp on Country/Pop, giving it a shot
of life, and never taking itself too seriously. Their songs are about
the things that they know best: having a good time, being with the
people they love, and being in the country that they love. So, get
your friends together, grab a cold one, and get ready for Ralston.

Ralston is comprised of Jason and Jordan Smith, who’ve made music

together their whole lives. Writing songs and singing together is
second-nature to them.

All of the songs fit Ralston’s message: they’re average guys who are

just out to have a good time and to do right by their families,
friends, and their country. Ralston’s not about celebrity culture, but
about celebrating the fact that they’re just like you. They know that
you work hard, and that you deserve to play hard—all they’d like to do
is give you a soundtrack.

If you’re looking for a new kind of Country or as we call it 'Dirt

Road Pop', one that brings it all back home, then look no further than
Ralston. They’ll be the first to tell you that they’re not looking to
be stars. They just want to have fun, drink some beer, and sing some
good ‘ole country songs. Ralston’s not asking much, just that you take
a listen.

Perfect way to cap the holidays...

"Rounds For The Troops"

This track is a bit like a jack-in-the box in the very beginning, but all it does is prove that they've got kick!

I really see potential in these two. I know that this is probably considered country in most "standards", but I really get a Tom Petty feel from it, and that pretty much plants it for me. I plan on following Ralston throughout their promising career.

Now, This next song... is my favorite. I want this song on the radio, pronto!

It's called, "Good Luck Finding Mr. Right".

I love it because I know that that there are so many men out there would love to say this to their ex-significant others. A message to the women who require constant attention: They don't always stick around to chase their tails and worship your every step. Be nice to your man! 50/50!

Enjoy!
